Function before Form

Posted by Heather C. Williams at Jun 14, 2012 02:23 PM |

Everything flows when function precedes form.

Join me in an online free discussion about Function Before Form. I offer an exercize to demonstrate how this helps you take a problem (form), mentalize the qualities (function) this problem is blocking, and experience the solution or the natural flow of these qualities into your life.

This drawing demonstrates seeing "function before form" in drawing. I look at a form, (in this case a person) and draw the abstract visual qualities (vertical, horizontal and diagonal directions and intersections) that I see. In this way the life of the form (function) flows through me onto the paper.

My talk/discussion will take place online this coming Tuesday, June 19th at 5:00 pm PST. Email me for the link at
