Today is Tomorrow
"Today is Tomorrow," life skills development is a smart investment. The future is about your adaptability vs artificial intelligence (AI) adaptability. AI is already impacting the decisions and fate of businesses, education, government, and even people’s personal choices.
But what about our personal lives? We have entered into the age of what the Prosperos called the proto-mutant’s, which has unleashed the side effect of the freedom to choose - what we think of ourselves and who or what we want to be? One or multi-sexual humans, or Part human/part machine, for subtle changes have been taking place over decades.
The people that will go out and inhabit space cannot be doing so using earthbound thinking and thus the social/sexual changes for the space species has begun, matter of fact it began in the 1960’s with man’s first launches into space.
Since that time, exponential rates of change, both in humankind's thinking and technological change, make it harder to decide the relevancy of so-called future-proof moral dictates of gender and sexual preference. Space and Science, fact and fiction has been cultivating young people across six continents for decades.
Due to the highest technology and latest scientific advances, we now have a creation of spaces, such as a virtual space, virtual reality, the Internet or cyberspace, which has allowed for the representation of a genderless human body, conceived as pure information. We get instances of films in which a pleasurable experience is taken up by people playing characters entering cyberspace as shown in films like The 13th Floor (1999), Existenz (1999), Inception (2010) or Avatar (2009), among others. In them, the difference between “self” and the “other” becomes less clear.
This is not pure science fiction, because the fact of the matter is that proto-mutants are among us now, who have chosen not to live simply by standard norms, but instead have chosen freedom to choose - what to think of themselves and of who or what they want to be?
Adaptation is the call of the future and the future is now. My special guest represents someone who has exercised the right to be who they are, and who can bring pause to all of us; Am I living my authentic self? Can I live my authentic self in a world of becoming? And What would it look like?
I would like you to be there and to enjoy the conversation between my guest Nelson and myself.
