LIMBER = flexible, resilient and joints work well.

QUESTION: In what ways do you feel limber?

STORY: In my 40s I found swimming to be a very valuable exercise for my entire body. I am so grateful for my friend who taught me how to swim laps. Swimming (and other activities like walking, running, even dancing), helps our muscles, joints, bones, skin, tendons, fingers, toes and lots more to be flexible, limber, resilient - and to move easily in any direction that we choose. As we get older, we really need to pay attention and do some work to keep our body limber. When we feel resilient and limber - we are able to bounce back from difficulties, change our sense of direction, open up to new ideas and see things in new ways. We all must pay attention and exercise our body to keep us limber and able to do what we are here to do.

QUOTES

“Be flexible - but stick to your principles.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

“Notice that the stiffest tree is easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind.” ~ Bruce Lee

EXERCISE

Take a minute to relax and just feel the flow of energy that is constantly moving through your body.

Get your pen and paper and write some words about your body and the energy that moves you wherever you wish to go.

And if you have another minute or two, draw some lines expressing this flow of energy and how it feels to be flexible, resilient and limber.

Move forward into your day knowing the Principle of you is always limber.
