Poet's Corner
A haiku is a type of short-form poem that originated in Japan. Haiku poems are typically written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. They are unrhymed, but some poets may choose to rhyme the first and third lines for added challenge. Haiku poems often focus on nature or the seasons, and emphasize simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression.)
Overwhelm, hello
Again. You distract, confuse,
Drown the mind and heart.
A necessity,
You are of me, to make us
Stop - observe it all.
To let go, step back,
Without control, give over,
Know, as Life unfolds.
The mysteries of
Nature's way - unknown as yet.
Themselves may reveal -
Humanity thus,
In humility, may come
More humane to be.
Uncovered, be as
Voices of the Soul are heard -
Birdsongs of clarity.
Then with head and heart
Combined, be Life's enjoyment -
A Community.
