War
The early morning news of Russia’s overwhelming force invasion of Ukraine, no matter how much one has rationalized motives, history, and so on, still shocks and dismays any compassionate onlooker. It is the same with any invasion, with any use of force against another person.
For anyone in the enviable position of not being under actual attack or threat, who does not need to act now to insure their own survival, The Prosperos tool of Translation is a way to render aid to those in need and to act on behalf of those others.
As I mentioned to one of our students earlier today, “We are not in the position of deciding whether to take up arms; we will not be asked to take policy decisions on this. But if we translate, and keep it up, the right policy decision will be made and genuine progress is possible.”
The principle at work is the oneness of mind. No amount of strategic or geopolitical analysis is as meaningful as a single person translating the appearance of devastating war. Please join in.
