"A fact is a verifiable circumstance"......

A fact is a verifiable circumstance. We can look at what is, verify or confirm, and prove it to be true. Circumstances can change. It is a fact I often wear a nightgown. It is also a fact I sometimes wear pajamas. Under some circumstances I wear nothing at all. These are all verifiable facts.

Truth is that which is so. It goes beyond circumstance and often refers to an unchanging reality. Truth cannot always be verified with the physical eye, but it can be proved. It refers to a variety of ideas and concepts which cannot be proved by the physical senses. Truth often applies to attributes such as wisdom, love, or beauty. We can physically measure the effect of truth but it often cannot, itself, be seen. We see the effect of love but not the love itself.
