"To begin with, as 'versus' means 'against'”......

To begin with, as “versus” means “against” or “opposed to,” in reality, truth cannot oppose fact (relative truth). Facts are the same as truth, as that is the definition of a fact — something proven to be true.

Even though both truth and fact have taken a beating lately, they do not change with opinion. Threats, guns or bombs have no influence on truth and fact. Of course, as we’ve seen, you can chose to ignore facts. I counseled with Clair Gold for a short time. I once presented a situation to her wherein I made the statement, “It’ll always be that way,” and she said, “How do you know? How many times has that happened? Look at it straight on and get the facts. You must always know what you are dealing with, not some hazy opinion you’ve pulled out of your construct field. Be careful of blanket statements.” As it turned out, that situation had happened to me exactly once, and yet I had built a whole world of hurt and fear out of it. Her insistence on finding the facts and dealing only with those put that situation in perspective among many others. So I think relative truths and facts produce perspective. And without perspective, its too easy to go off the rails.

It is beyond childish to refuse the validity of facts because they do not produce the result you want, meaning, in your favor. It seems to me, the more I grow and change, the more bewildering the world seems. Perhaps before this, I was too identified in a situation to see it from a distance and question it. Now I see it, but it seems strange, no longer a part of me. I’ve pulled away from the influence of much of my childhood, especially ideas based around white supremacy. I am much more objective, much more grounded in truth and perhaps that is why “not truth” seems increasingly bewildering to me. And that is what I feel about people who are claiming science, truth and fact to be false. I’m so bewildered, I can’t even have an opinion about it.

To refuse to believe facts never has a good outcome. We’ve seen a virus kill hundreds of thousands of people because our top government refused to believe the facts. Truth and facts help us navigate life, keep us on the right path, moving in a direction that is successful for us. Without interference, they are the relative children of absolute truth. That’s because many facts are discovered through a sudden burst of divine energy, producing the fact searched for, the fact that best fits the circumstances at the moment. This is the well known “Aha” experience. In closing, when I was a child, I would have given everything to be able to bend facts in my favor. Today, I’m just grateful for them.
