Courage
COURAGE = heart, spirit, innermost feelings; valor; quality of mind which enables one to meet danger and trouble without fear
QUESTION: Where is your courage?
STORY: Jesse was a boy in my 9th grade Special Ed Art class. He was a dreamer. Almost everyone in this class was a dreamer. (Perhaps they were imagining the upcoming summer time activities.) Anyway, I played a movie about Leonardo da Vince and the assignment was: Draw out your own Leonardo story of being an illegitimate child with a special kind of creativity. The story that Jesse created was so good that it was written into a play and the local high school Drama Club performed it for their Back-to-School-Day. I don’t know where Jesse is today but I imagine and hope that he is very actively continuing to discover the unique creative seed that he, like all of us, carry within. It does take courage for each one of us to draw out our unique creativity!
