Lesson
LESSON = something to be learned by a student; a passage from sacred writings; instruction
QUESTION: What do you need to learn today?
STORY: I am learning everyday - no matter how old I am. We each live in a world that we have constructed out of our personal experiences, habits, patterns, memories. Yes. Think about where you live, how you dress, what you eat, when you sleep, who you identify as. You have to admit that these things are based upon your decisions, choices, thoughts, emotions. Your mind and heart construct your life.
So, what do you do when you encounter a problem? Do you blame others, deny your part, judge yourself? OR do you do the “WORK” of observing yourself without judgment? Do you release yourself from your previous poor decisions? Do you learn the lesson and move forward in your life? We each have unique lessons to learn and everyone is a great teacher - IF we are willing to learn the lesson! Remember: Health means wholeness, thus it is healthy for us to open up and learn life’s lessons.
QUOTES

“I'm so grateful for all the experiences I've had; the life lessons I've learned along the way are just completely invaluable.” ~ Gretchen Bleiler
“Some people come into our life as blessings. Some come as lessons.” ~ Mother Teresa
EXERCISE
STOP. Relax.
Get your pen and paper. 1) Use your dominant hand to write these words: What is my “Life Lesson” for today? Think about this for a minute or two and FEEL your heart contemplating this question. 2) Use your non-dominant hand to write words or draw lines expressing what your heart feels is your lesson for today. Finally, look at the words and marks on your paper - and when ready - move forward into your day willing to learn something meaningful to you.
