GRATITUDE = thankfulness

QUESTION: Do you feel gratitude this Thanksgiving?

STORY: I have a little dog (a mix of dachshund & chihuahua) and I have 6 chickens and you know what? I kinda feel their gratitude when I play with them, feed them, care for them. Also, I feel my neighbors' gratitude when they smile at me. I feel my partner’s gratitude when I comb her long hair into braids. I feel gratitude for my family even though we are very different. I feel gratitude for the blue sky. What do you feel gratitude for? Gratitude is a feeling of connectedness - a feeling of ONENESS with others.

EXERCISE

STOP.

Sit quietly. Assume an erect posture. Sense the breath. Relax. Sit in a chair and feel a connectedness with the chair; with the air; with the blood flowing through your body; and with the world around you. We are all ONE ENERGY.

Get your pen and paper and write words or draw lines expressing gratitude for yourself and your life. Move forward into your day with gratitude for another opportunity to connect.
